Explore the Katholikon and learn historical information about every aspect of it.

Through the virtual tour, visitors who do not have the opportunity to visit the physical site are given the opportunity to participate in the experience.

As visitors navigate through the virtual space, they are given the opportunity to interact with various selected objects, for further immersion in relevant information, through rich audiovisual material.

The environment is the result of 3D modelling of the interior of the Katholikon, providing the visitor with the possibility of free navigation in selected areas.

The scripted organization of the applications gives the user the ability to access data embedded in the system in a variety of combined ways: by retrieving easy-to-understand texts (written or recorded), by using a range of audiovisual material (drawings, photographs, images of documents, videos, audio files, etc.), by selecting visualizations and animated graphic representations, by interacting in the virtual environment in order to discover further data, by self-acting in the context of creative activities and many others.

It is an innovative proposal for the way of approaching, informing and understanding the monumental monastic complexes, since the visitor moves from the virtual space to the real one, having formed in advance an opinion and interest in the places he wishes to visit, which sets the basis for a more substantial and deeper experience of the area.

Due to the 3D model, the above application needs a high performance computer to run efficiently. If you have any issues, you can see part of the experience in the video below.
