Digital Promotion of the recent cultural heritage of the Holy Monastery of Pantokrator on Mount Athos. https://epantokrator.gr/

 

The Holy Monastery of Pantokrator of Mount Athos on Monday, April 15th, has scheduled the presentation of the results of the project entitled "Integrated digital promotion of the newest cultural heritage of the Holy Monastery of Pantokrator of Mount Athos".

The event will take place at the Athens Concert Hall. Using innovative information and communication technologies, the treasures of the Monastery will be presented, in particular:

1. Digital presentation - tour of the Monastery's catholic with virtual reality technology (Virtual Reality) and the use of Oculus Rift devices.
2. Digital demonstration - tour of the Bank of the Monastery with Virtual Reality technology and the use of Oculus Rift devices.
3. Digital highlighting - tour in a virtual museum (VR) of contemporary works of art created by the fathers of the Monastery.
4. Digital highlighting - tour of the treasures of the Monastery's Museum with augmented reality (AR) technology.
5. Digital presentation of the application "Monastic diet", a proposal of modern diet and fasting, following the Orthodox diet in the modern lifestyle.
6. Digital presentation of the results of the infrared reflection scanning of the frescoes of the Cathedral in order to identify and study the different
7. phases of the frescoes of the Cathedral.
8. Digital 3D representation of works of art - relics from the sacristy of the Monastery.

For the educational community there is the possibility of a scheduled visit from 12.00 pm to 17.00 pm.
